As I was driving to the gym this morning, one of my favorite songs began playing… Never Been a Moment by Micah Tyler. I instantly began thinking about how there has never been a moment that I haven’t been loved by Jesus. Just as Micah sings, “There’s never been a moment, That I was not loved by you.”
That one lyric says so much about the love that Jesus has for us.
He loves us unconditionally even when we feel unworthy.
The love that Jesus Christ offers to each and everyone of us is absolutely incredible.
I am sure many of you have all seen the #relationshipgoals posts circulating around social media. Heck, I am just as guilty as posting these #relationshipgoals posts on Instagram and Facebook. Even though many of my social media friends comment “#relationshipgoals” on my photos with my boyfriend, Chason, I understand that the greatest “#relationshipgoals” should be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Now understand, that I am not implying that we should not focus on building strong relationships here on Earth, but many of us put more focus on our relationships with others when we should be focusing more on our relationship with Jesus.
We LOVE because he first LOVED us. 1 John 4:19
1 John 4:19, is one of my favorite bible verses. It is only 7 words long, but it means so much to me. We are granted the blessing of loving others because Jesus first loved us, and he expects us to show the same love to others and ultimately to him. Jesus declared, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” This is the first and greatest commandment. Matthew 22:37-38
